OpenSolaris Busy-ness
Wow, I've been hopping.
Mark Brundege and I are still trying to figure out why why my tool chain is not creating proper PDF files out of the Sun XML source. Alan has dropped a new Docs consolidation, so I've started testing with that. Unfortunately, most of the XML isn't the problem. Mark has done amazing work finding and fixing bugs in the SolBookTrans tool during all of this. Some of this is a moving target--nobody told us the doc writers had updated the Solbook versions during the past couple of months.
In addition to that, there's an ongoing discussion about a shell script repository. Unfortunately, since we don't even have a wiki yet (after how long, now?), I doubt this will happen in any useful manner any time soon.
Yesterday was the annual meeting running up to the OGB elections. I logged in for a bit, but I'd already been on the computer for too long and had to bail. I logged back in during the evening, but there seemed to be zero activity.
And, I still haven't been able to be of much use lately in the SysAdmin or Accessibility groups. The latter in particular, I feel I need to do some work in. Back in September, I promised to look over the GNOME Accessibility Guide from an editor's point of view. Unfortunately, my eyes haven't liked reading much, so I didn't get that done yet. I also have NO idea how to write patches to fix anything I find. But, I should at least make a note on the OpenSolaris Documentation community web pages as to where to find it.
